How it works
One slope, start to finish
Five stages on the same graded slope, from bare dirt to established grass.
Bare graded dirt
The slope is cut and open. One storm, and the topsoil is in the ditch or the creek.
Unroll downhill. Staple flush.
The crew unrolls Holdfast straight downhill in continuous strips, side by side, edges touching. Standard U-shaped landscape staples go in flush with a claw hammer.
Rain hits the weave, not the dirt
Water sheets evenly across the slope. The soil stays whole, and the runoff leaves clearer.
Grass grows through
Seedlings come up through the openings from underneath. The jute darkens, thins, and feeds the soil as it breaks down.
Solid green. Product gone.
The same slope, later: established grass and nothing to pull out of the ditch.
